I'm the parent of an autistic son with severe anxiety.  He is assigned to an out-of-district placement (known as a Non Public Agency in WA).  I've started a group for other NPA families in Seattle Public Schools and am constantly working to push greater inclusion of NPA students within the district.  Most recently I prevailed in my civil rights complaint and SPS will now be hiring a guidance counselor for NPA students - prior to now they did not have access to counseling.
